Just came back from Cancun, you can do Snuba which is pretty close to scuba with the difference that you don’t carry a tank on your back, you are connected to a hose that is floating on a raft above you, other than that is Sea Trek.

  5. k8888us says:

Yes that is called Sea Trek. The give you a helmet with an air hose and you walk on the ocean floor through all the fish and they feed them so that they swarm you. They also have another activity called Snorkel where they just give you a regulator on a long hose so you can swim around without all the bulky scuba equipment but you can breathe under water as you shorkel.

Just got back from Xel-Ha was there on July 05, 2009. – Hopefully I can bring some info to those of you looking to visit. 1. It was a very nice place. I would go back. 2. Price we paid booking at our hotel was $120 USD per person for Xel-Ha and Tulum. You could book just Xel-Ha for $107 USD per person. 3. There is NOT a fence that separates the ocean, sharks etc from entering the park. 4. I would recommend trying to book the trip prior to leaving through your travel agent and save some money.

They give you snorkel equipment only, you have to leave a 20usd deposit then when you turn it back, you get the deposit back. No oxygen tank and suit (extra charge for scuba diving) best regards

i heard there is this spot where they give you underwater equipment and you can go underwater
they give you oxygen tank and a suit and everything is that true

This tour was booked at the resort and it probably has gone up a bit. However another way have I gone here and I prefer, is by taxi and then purchasing the ticket at the gate – entrance only. I see it is now $75/person. It has gone up since I was last there. As for the dolphins – I have no information about prices. And based on information we have seen, we don’t support the dolphin activities.

Wonderful video, very informative. I was wondering how you booked your packages because the prices you mentioned are MUCH cheaper than anything I can find on the Xel-Ha site. For the dolphin swim, also. . .They do say they’ll match anything you find, so if you remember where you booked, I’d love to know. Thanks so much for your naration!

keep up the good work JCV dude. I have never been to the Mayan but I am going to iberostar grand paraiso soon so thanks for all your insight. Enjoy your narrated videos more than the ones accompanied by music.

  15. statefan12 says:

    are there pirahanas????!!

  16. DLRisVH says:

Under the bridge there is a chain link fence to keep sharks out.
However it is not a good idead to wear jewlery in the lagoon as it may attract the Barracuda’s that live in the lagoon..
Can’t wait to get back there!
    Great video ,btw!
